Ben Brown is a Sydney based designer and artist.
Ben has been drawing and designing all manner of promotional and commercial material for a mixed variety of clients and exhibitions for over twenty years.

His interest in music has led to work for local and international acts including Silverchair, Nirvana, Fat Boy Slim, Frenzal Rhomb and others. Ben has also been employed by major and independent record companies to package and promote music that went right across the board. Clients include Sony, Island, EMI, Universal and the ABC. Ben has created visual identities for music festivals, Homebake, Vibes on a Summers Day, the Big Day Out, The Falls Festival, Good Vibrations and the Come Together festival, among others. His rock posters have appeared in several books on the subject.

Ben has also been involved in the surf industry and has produced work for many of the major surf companies and magazines. He has designed merchandise and clothing for Insight, Rip Curl, Hot Buttered, Aloha, O’neill and others.

From 1995-1999 Ben penned the full page comic strip 'Grubb' for Tracks surfing magazine. 'Grubb' still appears in the Spanish surf mag 'Surftime' (speaking Espaniol!). Ben now does a four page comic strip for the surf mag 'stab' and has regularly contributed work to more general titles like Rolling Stone, Juice, Waves, Mad, and many other publications.

He has illustrated 2 kids books featurig 'Sid Surfasaurus', exciting full color adventures for youngsters (4-8 years) featuring a surfing dinosaurs. He has shown work in several group and individual exhibitions all over Australia.

In recent times Ben has joined a collective of artists and designers (Marcie Oneil, Marty Schneider, Jason Ierace) and works out of a studio in the Manly CBD under the banner ‘spacejunk deluxe’. www.spacejunkdeluxe.com

Ben lives in Manly with his wife Yani , their son Harrison Leroy Brown and Patterson the dog.
